Why am I not getting messages?

You probably do not have Push Notifications enabled. Please refer to the next section for instructions…

 

 

Push Notifications: I did not allow Push Notifications when I first installed Everbridge HipaaBridge. What do I do now?

Everbridge HipaaBridge needs to notify you when you receive a new message. This requires push notifications. To enable Push Notifications:

  1. From iPhone home screen, tap “Settings”
  2. Tap “Notifications”
  3. Scroll down to “Everbridge HipaaBridge” and make sure everything is set to “On” (there are 4 items here), and that the Alert Style is set to “Banners”
 

 

Why does Everbridge HipaaBridge need access to my device’s Contacts?

This lets you find colleagues by syncing your address book with Everbridge HipaaBridge. Don’t worry, all your data is encrypted and kept private. Nobody can see who your contacts are except you.

 

 

Allowing Access to Contacts: I did not allow Everbridge HipaaBridge to Access my Contacts when I first installed it. What do I do now?

To adjust the Contacts access settings:

  1. From iPhone home screen, tap “Settings”
  2. Tap “Privacy”
  3. Tap “Contacts”
  4. Scroll down to Everbridge HipaaBridge and switch it to “On”
 

 

Video calls aren’t connecting. What do I do?

Your network may have a firewall or some other security setting. We can help you sort it out — please email us now.

 

 

What are the minimum device requirements for Video calling?

Video calling requires an iPhone 4S+, iPad 2+, iPad Mini or iPod Touch 5th Generation+. Video calling is not supported on older devices like iPhone 4 because their processor “chip” is not fast enough to handle it. You may not initiate a video call on an older device, but if someone calls you, please understand that the experience will be poor.

 

How do I update the app?

Just tap the “App Store” icon on your iPhone and download the latest version of Everbridge HipaaBridge.
